REGIONAL NETWORK OF CENTRES FOR ADVANCED STUDIED IN SOUTHEAST EUROPE (RECAS)
Induces societal change by promoting the visibility, quality, and relevance of Western Balkans and Southeast European research while enabling early career researchers to conduct socially engaging and policy-relevant research in the region.
SPEAKING OUT for the freedom of research and ensuring the necessary prerequisites for innovative, creative, and scientific development, RECAS will continue TO ACT, opening up spaces for intellectual shifts and collective creation of OPEN SOCIETIES in the SEE region, building institutional and program capacities TO MOTIVATE an engaged community network that breeds groundbreaking ideas and instigates SOCIAL change.

NEWS

The program invites Early Career Researchers through open calls to form investigative teams and develop research project applications or conduct postdoctoral research. The fellows spend 3 to 12 months at one of the centers within the Network of Centres for Advanced Studies in the Western Balkans.

MOISE P(A)LACE makes initial stage of building the Regional Residency Network with conference facilities in the Adriatic area, dedicated to continuing the cherished tradition of hosting lectures, roundtable discussions, mini-festivals, storytelling gatherings, and more, all deeply rooted in the Adriatic unique way of life, cultural history, diverse music genres, visual and performing arts, and literature.

This pioneering initiative is jointly hosted by major universities across seven countries in the region with a broad international partner network, including academics, civil society and policymakers.

RECAS is the flagship initiative of the Rectors Forum of Southeast Europe and Western Balkans, gathering 30 universities that develop concepts, co-ordinate measures and jointly advocates for European and regional collaboration, and European integration
