The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Regional Dialogue Southeast Europe and the Institute for Democratic Engagement Southeast Europe (IDESE) 2018 jointly initiated the ,,Think Engaged: Academia in Dialogue“ series.
The European Fund for the Balkans (EFB) and the Institute for Democratic Engagement Southeast Europe (IDESE) joined forces and created the Engaged Democracy Initiative (EDI).
The overall objective of the project is not only to educate and support, but also to shape behavior of pupils, boys and girls, aged 13-18, on the causes and effects of peer gender based violence by using creative and innovative educational techniques.
The project is about including people from rural communities into the creative part of work allowing them to demonstrate their capacity of perceiving inequalities, barriers and obstacles they meet in everyday life.
The project “Building and strengthening family-school partnership” is realized by the Center for Ethics, Law and Applied Philosophy together with the Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory, University of Belgrade.

Project “Gender that Matters: Poverty and Social Inclusion – Social Protection Status in Rural Kosovo and Serbia” intends to explore the current situation in the field of social services for the people living in rural areas and possibilities for improving the social protection system in Kosovo and Serbia.
Gender issues provoke intense debate in Serbia thus strongly influencing the creation of public opinion. The attitude towards these – shapes fundamental cultural values in family, school and in society in general.
